URBANLOOP - MAFELEC TEAM AT THE OLYMPIC GAMES!

MAFELEC TEAM also took part in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games! After supplying the lights for the new trains on lines 4, 11 and 14 of the Paris metro, MAFELEC has once again made its contribution to Paris transport with the Urbanloop project.

What is Urbanloop?

Urbanloop is a project involving automated driving capsules. Put into service for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, these capsules were able to transport spectators during all the festivities. The touchless version of MAFELEC’s M-Door GM door opener was chosen to equip these small, fully autonomous, electric capsules.

With a capacity of 2 people, the Urbanloop capsules were tested on a 2.7km circuit serving the fan zone in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.

Originally chosen by Internet users, the city of Nancy will also be equipped by Urbanloop in 2026.
